This project is for a local brewery. The owners had been successful opening a venue around their brewery and were venturing into canning. They needed a label that would work for all their 16oz aluminum cans with a space to place a sticker that would be customized for each beer they decided to can.
The owners wanted to emphasize the craft element of the craft beer they make. They forage as often as possible and try to use local ingredients, especially from the cactus-rich land around their brewery. I drew a collage of native Texas cacti and succulents, which I then turned into a vector shape.
The sticker has been printed on vinyl with an eggshell laminate over it, which makes it durable to condensation but gives it a high-end texture.
The sticker is simple and easily editable. The different labels are printed in small batches by a local printer and applied by hand to the labels.
I included a black and white version, which has also been printed but not applied yet to cans. The brewers liked having the various options so they can change up their look without breaking the integrity of the brand.
